Competition in English Premier League

There are 20 clubs in the Premier League. During a season (August-May) each club plays the other twice (a double-Robin), once at their home stadium and once at that of their opponents, for a total 38 games. Teams receive three points for a win and one point for a draw. No points are awarded for a defeat.

Teams will be out of a total rank points, then goal difference and goals scored. At the end of each season the club with the most points is crowned champion. If points are equal, the goal difference and goals scored determine the winner. If is still same, teams are taking is the same position.

If there is a link for the championship, for relegation, or for the qualification to other competitions, a play-off game will decide in a neutral place rank. The three lowest placed teams are relegated to the Football League Championship and the two best teams in the championship with the winner of the play-offs the third to sixth in the championship clubs are encouraged to place.
